BeSpoke Vision needs an Optometric Technician who is a Patient Care Champion to help contribute to the best patient service experience. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with a team of compassionate and engaging professionals to provide exceptional care to our patients!
Prior eyecare experience is a plus, but certainly not required. We offer paid training to the right person with a great attitude and a love of learning!
In this role, you will prepare patients to see our physicians, coordinate treatment plans, caretake patient needs and answer their questions, complete electronic patient charts accurately as well as contribute to the success of our clinic team. This is a full-time position offering the stability of a career in healthcare, with NO WEEKENDS!
Pay range: $17 - $22 hourly (depending on experience/certifications).
Requirements:
- 2+ years successful health, patient care or customer service experience.
- Supremely confident with technology and learning software platforms.
- Ability to educate and coach patients through prescribed treatments, aftercare and what to expect.
- Supreme ability to focus, document thoroughly and complete complex tasks-we will need you to connect all the loose ends!
- Ability to confidently work autonomously; knowing when to ask questions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- A sense of urgency without sacrificing thoroughness.
- Strong desire to help people.

Nice to have but not required:
- Optometric Technician patient care experience with a great attitude.
- Scribe, Phlebotomy or MedSpa experience.
- CPO, CPOA, CPOT, CPOC, NCLE.
- Other relevant certifications.
Some of your duties will include:
- Self-managing timely patient pickup using our schedule as a guide.
- Working up patients for their visits or consultations; including performing testing on equipment and documenting results accurately in our EHR.
- Having personable and meaningful conversations with patients, while guiding their experience to ensure you achieve objectives in a timely manner.
- Adhering to best clinical practices.
- Continuing to build on and exceed the patient service experience.
- Assisting the physician in seeing patients, scribing the visit and maintaining compliance.
- Ensuring the physician’s observations and instructions are well documented and charts are completed with a high level of accuracy.
- Managing a list of to-do’s, coordinating with patients & pharmacies as needed.
- Contributing meaningfully during department and team meetings.
- Coordinating with the Clinic Director and Lead Tech.
- Continual Self Development.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical requirements:
